Approved by University Council: January 15, 1979
Approved by President: January 15, 1979
Effective: First Summer Term of 1979 for those graduate students beginning their Master's programs
The Commission on Graduate Studies and Research approved a recommendation that an "oral and/or written final examination will be required for all Master's programs without exception." Under current policy, some exceptions have been allowed to the general policy of requiring final examinations in Master's programs, and the purpose of this recommended change is to eliminate the exceptions. I am pleased to approve the change herewith.
